Purpose of the document: Use this document for guidelines purposes only for IET-BEST QUIZ PLAYER category 2020. This is the Grand Finale Protocol Document. This document will provide details on rules, guidelines, questions, marking, scoring for the Best Quiz Player. Please read this document carefully.
Category will have two stages after successful participation confirmation.

1ST FUNCADEMY AWARDS 2020
THE BEST QUIZ PLAYER contains pattern of questions based on the Trivia/General Knowledge quiz questions as per age group and its standard difficulty level. This category has only one age division category for the Great Grand Finale Finalists. This protocol document contains the information that is used for the children to participate in the Best Quiz Player category that is to be conducted. So please read this document carefully.
GRAND FINALE (Solo)

The Grand Finalists will do Offline Quiz and Live Performance. Judges and panellists will give 100 points score based on the finalist’s performance.
In Live performance, there are two kinds of phases for the Best Quiz Player, viz,
These stages are conducted by our qualified and accomplished Panellist. The points given are relying on the level of performance of the finalists. Winner will be concluded, placed on the points they have earned.
In this aspect, it is going to be CHOOSE the best answer for 4 types of difficulty levels. That is, the host will give the Quiz question paper to each finalist, the talent needs to tick the correct option for all the questions within 16 minutes.

This phase carries 80 points for four different levels, each comprises of 4 questions, totally 16 questions; each correct answer carries 5 points. The host will have timer for this round. All finalists are required to complete this round before the time ends and provide the Quiz sheets to the host after completion. The finalists have to score the maximum points they can earn by their astonishing performance.
* No external help or device can be used during this phase of Quiz
In this second phase, the talents need to give a LIVE performance in front of the judges.This last round of quiz, the host will show four questions on the main stage screen for both the finalists, in which the finalists have to write the correct option in their individual sheets given earlier.
Parents can accompany on the stage, however needs to stay back and talent needs to answer self. They will hand over the answer sheets to Host or IET Admin. Public needs to be quite and don’t need to answer, let the finalists write the answer.

This final phase carries 20 points for four different levels, each comprises of 1 question, totally 4 questions; each correct answer carries 5 points. The host will have timer for this round. For each question, the talent have to write their answer within 60 seconds. All finalists are required to complete this round before the time ends.
IET Admin needs to score the answers during Live performance and the final results will be announced later. IET Admin needs to add the score. If Tie, then the host will show 1 Hard question, in which the talent needs to write the answer in a paper and give it to the Host, after this the Winner is finalized later. The finalists have to score the maximum points they can earn by their astonishing performance.
* Ensure to respect timelines as timer will be used and no extra time will be provided.
Virtual Performance option – If we couldn’t do a face to face event, then virtual performance will be done on Video Conferencing software like Zoom, Microsoft Teams.
The performances are primarily judged on below factors. It consists of 100 points out of total.

* Scores are averaged for all judges and panellists to determine the final score.
Time duration for each level of quiz is varied. The host has timer for every questions for all the levels. So the finalists need to give only one answer before the timer ends.

The candidate should follow these rules for delivering the talent in the Grand Finale Stage. So read these guidelines carefully.
There are few obstructions for how to deliver the talent in both semblance and communication levels. Therefore, the candidates should follow those stipulations requisite.
*Gear up your children to give correct answers mostly. It would help them to acquire the quiz competition. It’s important to keep practicing to your quiz questions anyways, as this will help you score better in next year’s IET 2021 Quiz Championship. Have fun!!!
The Judges, Finalists, Audience and FunKidsIndia Crew should follow the safety measures while gathering for the Grand Finale.

Note: The Grand Finale may be postponed or done only online depending on the situation. However we are aiming to do Face to Face in Delhi (if possible and safe).
