Purpose of the document: Use this document for guidelines purposes only for IET SEASON 2 – Best Funtastic (Others) – THE AX FACTOR* category 2021. This is the Group Stage Audition Protocol Document. This document will provide details on stages, rules, guidelines, marking, scoring, self-campaign points for The Best Funtastic (Others) and how to progress to Semi Final Stage with other important information. Please read this document carefully.

This Category will have three stages after successful participation confirmation.

  • Stage 1: Group Level Auditions (Oct 2021 – Mid 2022)
  • Stage 2: Semi Finals – Targeting End of Dec 2022 (Subject to change)
  • Stage 3: Grand Finale – Targeting End of Dec 2022 (Subject to change)

“INDIA’S EMERGING TALENT- DE HUNAR KO PEHCHAN” SEASON 2 AWARDS

The BEST FUNTASTIC (Others) contains 5 age divisions categories for the participants.

There are different types of performance categories. This protocol document contains the information that is used for the children to participate in the BEST FUNTASTIC (Others) category that is to be conducted. So please read this document carefully.

GROUP LEVEL AUDITIONS(Solo & Group)

  Teens junior   13 – 15 Years
  Teens senior   16 – 19 Years

*The contestants can apply under the respective age category for the IET SEASON 2 – BEST FUNTASTIC (Others) category in https://funkids.in/ietseason2/.

Group Performance

For a group performance, up to 10 people are allowed to form one group.

PERFORMANCE CATEGORIES

The Best Funtastic category allows any kind of talent to showcase to our esteemed Judges/ Jury in 2nd Level Screening. This category should have an AX-Factor in the performance.They may include any of the following types.

  • Playing Instruments – Holds Bowed Strings, Woodwind, Brass, Percussion, Keyboard and the Guitar family. The children can perform any one of these major instrumental categories.
  • Voice Imitation – Consists of imitating sounds, the voice and mannerisms of people or animals.
  • Painting – Contains any one of the following such as Modernism, Impressionism, Abstract Art, Expressionism, Cubism and Surrealism.
  • Drawing – Incorporates Sketching, Manga, Doodling, Animated Drawings and Hand Rendering.
  • Hairdo – Any like hairstyles to be done using Mannequin.
  • Human Calculator – The contestant has to solve the basic math calculations carries addition/subtraction/multiplication/division within the seconds given by the judges.
  • Guess Me – The contestant has to find the personality of whom the judge had fixed in their mind by asking them questions within the time limit.
  • Juggling – Toss Juggling resides the manipulation of objects for recreation, entertainment, art or sport.
  • Origami – Perform the object given by the judge by folding the paper.
  • Ball Spinning – Spinning the basketball using fingers or on head with different positions.
  • Tongue twister – Perform a tongue-twisting phrase given by the judge without breakdown.
  • Beat box – Imitate the sounds of a drum machine with the voice.
  • Ventriloquism – Make an illusion that your voice is coming from elsewhere, usually a puppeteer “dummy”.
  • Speed talker – Execute the speech given by the judge with the average speed of 5 words per second.
  • Reverse talker – Present the speech given by the judge backwards.
  • Sports, Author, Director, etc.,

Note: For few performances like sports, author, director, etc., where a contestant may not be able to perform during live session as such. So, Contestant can use this session to describe, why he/she is the right person to win The BEST FUNTASTIC AWARD, what are his/her achievements, what’s THE AX FACTOR (S) he/she has got.

GROUP LEVEL AUDITION PROCESS

  • Come to face to face audition near your city.
  • Audition process includes two levels.
    • 1st Screening
    • 2nd Screening
  • Each contestant has to deliver any kind of talent for maximum 2 minutes in 1st Screening to Awards Management Team. This session may be recorded and used by the Judges in judging the contestant’s Funtastic performance later.
  • If a contestant got selected in 1st Screening, then they will move on to the next level of Screening, which is going to be showcase in front of the Judges/ Jury on the same day.
  • In 2nd stage of Screening, each contestant has to deliver any kind of talent which are mentioned in the PERFORMANCE CATEGORIES section, to the Judges/ Jury with the duration of maximum 2 minutes.
  • Later the Best Funtastic Talents will be selected by Judges/ Jury.
  • Top Talents will be invited to Semi Finals in Delhi.

1st Screening contains overall 100 points of scoring. To be able to pass 1st Screening, talent needs to get 70 points or more. Contestants whoever has passed in 1st Screening are eligible to attend the 2nd Level Screening on the same day. Where they will meet Group Stage Judges and Juries. They need to perform in front of them.

2nd Screening also contains overall 100 points of scoring. These results will be announced in early Feb, 2022.

10 Points are self-campaigning. Top self-campaigners and talents can get Wildcard Entry to IET SEASON 2 TOP 100.

* Screening 2 will not be conducted for contestants those have given a super talented performance in 1st Screening.

* Audition Registration payments are non-refundable.

* Audition scores can’t be disclosed.

* If you are not satisfied with the judgment, then you have to pay an extra payment of 5000 INR. Email – audition details, information and payment receipts of 5K to talent@funkids.in. If your claim is successful, we will refund full amount.

GRACE TIME

The standard time period of 1 audition slot is 2 minutes only. But if your performance needs more than 2 minutes, then you need to book 2 audition slots. For example, if you are going to perform 4 minutes, then you need to pay Rs. 2000 for 2 audition slots (As 1 audition slot carries Rs. 1000).

SELECTION CRITERIA

The performances are primarily judged for their correctness. As the competition progresses, the more sophisticated criteria are applied for scoring which are,

  AX-Factor (SAFETY FIRST)   40 points
  Execution   30 points
  Creativity/Style and Originality   15 points
  Level of difficulty   15 points

* Total 100 points.

CUT OFF SCORE

Anybody who scored above cut off score will be invited to the IET SEASON 2 Semi Finals. Cut off score will be decided by the Judges/ Jury on the basis of the number of participants, their score level depending on the number of spaces available for the Semi Final.

We strongly believe that positive-reinforcement is a crucial educational tool, which is integral to the construction of a child’s self-esteem. Our Judges strive to employ this philosophy in each of their evaluations.

  • Scores are averaged for all judges to determine the final score.

GUIDELINES

The candidate should follow these rules for delivering the talent in their Group Level Audition. So read these guidelines carefully.

  • The Best Funtastic talent which is going to be perform should be fun and riskless
  • The candidate should accomplish the talent within the time duration
  • The talent should accommodate with Positive attitude
  • Furnish the credibility in a confident demeanour
  • Keep it natural and keep it simple
  • Ensure your act/performance is of Universal category, which is safe for kids and families to watch

LIMITATIONS

There are few obstructions for how to deliver the talent in both semblance and communication levels. Therefore, the candidates should follow those stipulations requisite.

  • Hair should be out of your face
  • Take off your glasses because it would be helpful in judging your eye contact
  • Tone inflection and delivery should be like a normal conversation
  • Avoid gobbling, chewing, chomping, gnawing or nibbling your words
  • Don’t burble
  • Don’t turn your back to the Judges/Jury, unless required by the performance
  • Don’t be insightful, if the content is not new or fresh
  • Comprisal of any political party names or their activities or any controversial topic or any incidents regarding of individuals is strictly proscribed during the performance.
  • Contestants will stop their performance if they exceed the time limit.
  • The talent must be substantially genuine. If any fraudulence found, then the contestant should be notified of disqualification before the winners are announced.
  • Consumption of any properties/stunts for performance must be acquaint earlier

Make a roadmap for your performance and ready to rehearse before the Audition. You have roughly 2 minutes to bring off your skills with this round. Tell yourself that your enactment is powerful and you are a strong Contestant. You owe it to yourself to have fun and utilize those 2 minutes. Keep your energy as high as possible. Be passion about what you say. Have fun!!!

SELF CAMPAIGN BONUS POINTS

We appreciate that parents, friends and families want to do more to showcase the talent and help the child to win this International Award. To achieve this, we will be giving 10 points to a child. So, it’s important that you all keep sharing the child top photos and videos with your friends and families on social media, e.g. Facebook, YouTube and on Instagram. You can hash tag that photo or video as #CHILDFULLNAME #IETSEASON2 #FUNKIDSINDIA #INDIASEMERGINGTALENT

Hence, the final score will include these points. More you campaign, more score the child will get. This will be calculated in a percentile. The Top SELF CAMPAIGN will have 10 points and rest will have a percentile of that.

For example, when we search with a Child Name using hash tag, we will look on the numbers of post tags, shares, comments etc. on the photo and video of the child. One child has done 100 posts share, got 1000 likes on those posts and he has done the maximum self-campaign as per the research, then this child will get full 10 points. Rest children will get percentile points.

So it’s good to keep sharing the posts and use correct hash tags. This will increase the chances of your child to get bonus points.

FACE TO FACE AUDITION

Face to face audition is preferred, however if we can’t do the Offline Audition, online audition will be organised. Keep checking https://funkids.in/ietseason2/ page for latest info.

CONSTRAINTS FOR ONLINE SHOWCASE SESSION

Online Audition will have only one Screening. This Level 1 Screening will be done by IET 2020 Finalists, Talent Manager and Zone Level Celebrities.

As we are pursuing ZOOM for Online Talent Showcase Session, you have to keep up with the instructions below,

  • Online Slot and Zoom link will be emailed by first Saturday of November, 2022. Rest slots are booked.

  • Download Zoom Application before the given time and make sure you are available on the given time slot with your child. Use https://zoom.us/ to download the Zoom application in your device.

  • Make the payment for your registration for the Online Audition

  • Original registration fee – Rs. 1999,  50% Discounted fee – Rs. 999.

  • Visit funkids.in – Register & PayTM Rs. 999 to 95999 30020

  • Send payment confirmation to talent@funkids.in

  • Zoom link will be emailed to all registered and paid contestants.

  • Each contestant has 5 minutes. 2 minutes for performance, Judges comments for 1 minute and Entry/exit time for 2 minutes

  • This session may be recorded and used by the Judges in judging the contestant’s performance later.

  • You should have appropriate space and good lighting

  • Make sure you have good Internet connection and a laptop available with you

  • Choose a quiet place to avoid unnecessary noise

  • Apparels must be fair and acceptable
  • If a contestant got selected in this Screening Level, then they will move on to the next level of Screening. That level contains Top 100 finalists for IET Season 2.

  • Out of Top 100, First Top 50 has been announced on 9th July, 2022, click here to visit the page.

  • Next top 25 will be announced on 30th Oct, 5 PM, Sunday.

  • Remaining 25 in November, 2022.

COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES

The Judges, Contestants, Audience and Fun Kids India Crew should follow the safety measures while gathering for the Grand Finale.

  • Required Government Covid-19 Guidelines must be followed at all times. Please bring your masks, hand sanitizers, maintain 2-meter social distance for others etc.
  • While coming to the Audition, ensure to keep your family safe during travel and Grand Finale.
  • Be respectful to others all the times. Any inappropriate behaviour won’t be tolerated against FunKidsIndia Team, Judges, other contestants and families, audiences, etc.
  • Ensure to follow instructions given by FunKidsIndia Team.
  • At entry gate during Audition, you will be provided with mask, hand sanitizer and also our team will check the temperature.
  • All will be required to wear a face covering, maintain social distancing and use hand sanitizers during the Audition. However, contestants, Judges, Jury, anchors and authorized persons will be exempt from wearing masks during the performances.

Group Level Audition selection process, performance videos will be released on FunKidsIndia website and partner channels.

Note: The Audition may be postponed or done only online depending on the situation. However we are aiming to do Face to Face in Delhi (if possible and safe).
